We are proud to be associated with Wattlewood Natural Burial Ground, a protected natural burial ground and ecological restoration landscape on Ngarrindjeri Country, Goolwa.
While traditional markers and headstones are not used, remembrance is woven naturally into the landscape. Families may choose to place a personalised Memorial Leaf on the central memorial installation—a shared artwork thoughtfully integrated into the burial ground. Digital location records and online memorial pages are permanently maintained through the Chronicle platform, ensuring loved ones can always be found, remembered, and celebrated.
All burials and ashes interments at Wattlewood are perpetual. Rights of Interment do not expire, renewal periods do not apply, and every burial location is permanently recorded within Wattlewood’s secure mapping and digital memorial systems.

No Embalming
Embalming involves chemicals that some feel may not be kind to the environment.
We do not embalm as standard. Instead, we care for your loved one with tenderness gently washing and preparing them so they can rest naturally and peacefully. If embalming is preferred or becomes necessary, we can offer this option and will always explain everything with sensitivity, seeking your written consent. This delicate work is carried out by a trusted, local embalmer who shares our commitment to dignity and respect.
Coffin Choices
Choosing a coffin can be an emotional part of the farewell journey, and we are here to support you with warmth, care, and understanding.
We offer a thoughtful range of natural and sustainable options, including wool, and locally handcrafted bespoke caskets. Families may also choose a burial shroud as a simple and beautiful alternative to a coffin.
We are proud to offer the earthcraft® range of biodegradable caskets and shrouds. Thoughtfully designed as an alternative to conventional coffins, earthcraft® products reduce material use while maintaining strength, practicality, and a dignified appearance. Each casket and shroud is built around an innovative structural base made from recycled and renewable materials, supporting a gentler and more sustainable return to the earth.

Coffin Flowers
Flowers often bring comfort, and there are many ways to honour your loved one while caring for the planet. Our florists can create beautiful arrangements using seasonal flowers and foam‑free or wire‑based designs.
A planted eco‑wreath is a particularly meaningful choice it continues to bloom after the ceremony, offering a living tribute.
Locally grown flowers help reduce environmental impact and support local growers.
We will always talk with you about what to do with flowers after the funeral, or whether you’d prefer charitable donations instead while recognising how much comfort flowers can bring.

For cremations, we offer a range of urns made from natural, biodegradable materials.
